Cookie policy

A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser. This page explains which ones are used on CalcTask and how you can manage them.

Our own storage

CalcTask does not set its own cookies. It uses your browser's local storage only for features you turn on: remembering the light or dark theme, the currency or scale you choose and, in some tools (word counter, budget split, electricity cost, grade calculator), the data you type so you do not lose it when you reload. This information never leaves your device, is not used to track you and can be deleted at any time from your browser settings.

Third-party cookies: advertising

The site is funded by Google AdSense ads. Google and its advertising partners may set cookies to:

  • Show ads and limit how often you see the same one.
  • Measure ad performance and prevent fraud.
  • If you consent, show personalised ads based on your interests.

On your first visit you will see a consent message managed by Google, where you can accept, reject or choose by purpose. You can change your choice at any time from the "Privacy and cookie settings" link in that message, or in Google's ad settings.

You can see the list of cookies Google uses in its cookie policy.

How to block or delete cookies

You can also block or delete cookies from your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge…). If you block third-party cookies, the tools keep working normally.
